A Guatemalan Coffee Story

Shade grown
Coffee, with its white flowers, and macadamia trees on Oriflama farm in the highlands of Guatemala. About a third of the coffee at Oriflama is interplatned with macademias. Coffee grown under the proper level of shade takes longer to develop, which favors the development of rich and complex flavors. On top of that, shade grown coffee is one of the most environ-mentally benign crops in the world.
