Hello folks,

Beautiful weather in middle Tennessee. Cool mornings and evenings with good warm sunshine in between. Just what we need.

We built 12 new raised beds in the last 2 days. Filled them with a mixture of composted cow manure, potting soil and good top soil.

Will be planting more Sage, Parsley, Rosemary and Cilantro in them.

We are really happy with the raised beds, all of the planting's have started to grow and NO WEEDS! NONE.........

We have had no other problems with the rabbit issue, I think the fact that we have a neighboring farm with horses and a really good guard dog in the field with them all the time kinda helps keep critters away.

Had to make a really big choice this week .

We had started a projected in our house and so close to having it finished.

We discovered a few days ago that we needed a bigger tractor in order to do some things we really wanted to do this year.

But we really wanted to finish the project inside too.
So we have looked at it from all angles and can't do both right now, that's a given, Mike could work a lot of over-time(very good pay) but then we would be behind with the schedule here. We could make a loan for the tractor(threw that idea out right away) So far we are still ahead of the game with the finances, would like to keep it that way.

Decision? We will buy the tractor, go forward with our plans and make time to do some 'work for hire with it' to make extra money to finish the inside project.

Everyone is happy, we are still debt free and nothing really has to be put off for any extended period of time.

Been a very long day, did an 'herb' festival in town today. So , signing off here.

Be safe,

Bea Kunz/Sage Hill Farms.
