NewFarm.org is published by
The Rodale Institute®, a non-profit organization
that has been working to support regenerative food systems
worldwide for more than 30 years.
Many of our online readers remember the "old" New
Farm magazine published by Rodale Press in the 1980s and early
'90s. In 2002, Anthony Rodale decided to revive the New Farm
in online form, and NewFarm.org was born.
Since January 2003, NewFarm.org has been bringing you farmer-to-farmer
know-how in the spirit of the old New Farm magazine. With
generous support from federal and state grants and private
donors, The Rodale Institute has been able create and maintain
NewFarm.org as a free service, available to everyone interested
in sustainable and organic farming.
With NewFarm.org you get ad-free,
24/7 access to:
- in-depth profiles of innovative farmers from across the
country and around the world
- dynamic columnists writing on everything from cut flower
production to federal ag policy
- The New Farm Organic Price Index®, the world's first
online database of organic grain, fruit and vegetable prices
- FarmSelect™, an online calculator that allows you
to compare returns on organic and conventional cropping
systems
