 |

Hey guys,
Because of the recent increase in diesel prices, me and a friend of mine are trying to build super efficient tractors. The problem we're facing is that neither of us is a farmer :( . I'm living in India and as most of you must know, about 75% of our economy is based on farming, now with the diesel prices going up, the farmer suffers badly, not only in India, but worldwide.
I am basically a mechanical and automation engineer, and have come up with this small tractor design, that tows a load of upto 2 tons, the max speed for the tractor is about 15-20 km/h, the engine gives out 7.5 BHP. The tractor operates for an hour on full load, with approximately 0.17 gallon of fuel. That means it can run for over 5 hours on just a gallon of fuel. The best thing about it is that the tractor would sell for only 1/3rd of what the other companies sell theirs for.
I know this is actually pretty puny to the tractors that you guys must have, but it will do okay for a small farm in India. But, I was thinking about the big farms, which have big tractors. I don’t know how efficient your tractors are… I believe that I can build a tractor that is much more efficient than the ones being manufactured right now, besides being super efficient, it’ll be powerful too. I have this technique that I really can’t disclose here. The tractor that I’ve built right now, beats all the tractors made by any of the Indian manufacturers hands down (in the same power segment).
PLEASE HELP ME, by telling me how efficient your tractors are? Please specify the BHP, max speed, and fuel efficiency. If I can make a tractor that uses half the fuel of a regular tractor, then I can easily get a loan and set up my own manufacturing unit. If it all works out, then maybe in about 2-3 years, you guys will be using super efficient tractors running at half the price and available at 1/3rd the cost.
Thanks,
