Well, here we are in the middle of October. My what an eventful year it has been so far.

The hurricanes hit at a very busy time for us, and so we have been doing overtime on anything and everything. Of course family and friends came first, that was not even an issue that needed discussion. But, regardless
of all that was happening we still had a business to run and things that had to get done. With the help of some wonderful friends and family members we have kept up and things are smoothing out very well.

I have spent the week, cleaning out herb beds, checking for diseased plants,(didn't have any)mulching in for the winter and cleaning up tools and winterizing the basement.(well Mike is the basement expert)this is a night time project since he works a fulltime day job.

We have almost completed the cleaning and clearing of all the land.
Everything is ready for next years projects.

I have harvested and dried about five gallon each of all the herbs we grew for making and marketing herb seasonings. Consisting of:

Oregano, basil, thyme, marjoram, dill, cilantro, chives, (garlic and onion)
parsley, rosemary, sage, black peppermint, lemon balm, apple mint, lime mint, and stevia. Some of the mints I added much later in the year, just wondering how they would do. They are very prolific growers and caught up and produced a very bountiful crop.

Will be planting garlic for the spring in a few days.

Needless to say all vacations were canceled in light of all the extra support
our family and friends needed after the storms.

We are just very grateful everyone is alive and well.
Always next year for vacation............

See you in November!

Happy Autumn.
