Q&A

DEAR NEW FARM:

Please keep me informed of all online courses you have, especially courses on the transition to organic farming from non-organic farming. I am particularly interested in raising hay and market gardening. And doing both in a sustainable way. Economics and sustainability are of vast importance to me, my son and grandsons and, if you will, the future of all mankind.

DEAR ROBB:

We’ll be officially launching our first online course, geared for farmers transitioning to organic, in the coming weeks. There is a beta version available so you can get started at www.tritrainingcenter.org/course. It’s our intention that this course will be the first in a whole series of online curricula that will help folks like you to farm smarter and more profitably.

You will definitely want to say a big “howdy” to the good folks at the Texas Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (TOFGA) www.tofga.org. Be sure to sign up to receive our e-newsletter for monthly updates on the latest news and features in organic and sustainable agriculture.
